Transportation to Todos Santos
Most guests traveling to Hotel San Cristóbal Baja will arrive by way of the San Jose del Cabo airport (SJD). There are a few options for transport from the airport, listed below. Because the hotel sits about 3KM outside of downtown Todos Santos, and because there are many things to explore in the area, we recommend having some form of transport during your visit. There are several rental car options at the airport, or guests can choose to rent a car once they arrive to Todos.
Where We're Located
Driving from the Airport
The drive from SJD to the hotel is about 45 minutes on a new toll road that runs through a forest of majestic Cardon cacti. Please click below for downloadable driving tips and directions or to book a rental car.
Bus
There is a premium bus that runs several times a day from the airport to downtown Todos Santos, operated by Eco Baja Tours. Cost is $355 pesos each way, or around $17 US. The bus drops riders off in downtown Todos Santos, where a taxi can be hired from the taxi stand across the street from the bus station for the short 5-mile journey to Hotel San Cristobal Baja.
Private Car Service

What to Know About Your Stay
Check In & Out Info
- When can I check in?
- Check-in begins at 3 PM. Upon check-in, your card will be authorized for $100 per room (plus tax), per stay. This charge may appear on your debit or credit card for up to two weeks post-departure.
- When do I check out?
- Check out is noon.
- Can I check in early?
- We always try to accommodate early check-ins. Let us know when you are arriving and we’ll do our best to get you into your room early.
- Can I checkout late?
- If you need a little extra time getting out, let us know. We will do our best to give you some more time, and we can always hold onto your bags while you explore.
- Can you store my bags before I check-in or after I check out?
- Of course. Just let the front desk know and we’ll provide a ticket for your bag.
- What is the minimum age required to check in?
- You must be 18 or older and present a valid ID to check in. Please note our property does not allow guests under 15 years old.
- Is there an elevator?
- No.
- Will my phone work there?
- Yes, but we recommend you purchase necessary international phone plans prior to arrival.
- What documents are required for travel?
- You'll need to bring your passport along.
- What is the currency in Mexico?
- The Mexican Peso is the currency in Mexico, but we list prices in USD and MXN on our menus.

- Do you have WiFi?
- Of course. Please refer to your in-room directory for wifi info.
- Are children allowed?
- To provide the optimal experience for all of our guests, children under 15 years old are not allowed.
- Can I bring my pet?
- Yes! Well-behaved dogs are always welcome (for a small fee). Pack your pup and we'll supply a bed, bowl, and maybe a treat or two for your best friend. Learn more on our pet policy here.
- What amenities are in my room?
- All rooms include bath amenities, purified drinking water, bluetooth speakers, a hairdryer, a fully stocked minibar, a delightfully comfortable bathroom, iron or steamer upon request, and in-room safe.
- When does housekeeping come? Is stayover service available?
- Housekeeping does rounds throughout the morning. If you would like to request a specific time for housekeeping to visit your room, please ask the front desk.
- Can I have a package sent to the hotel prior to my arrival?
- Due to the unreliable nature of shipping items through customs to Mexico, we recommend you do not send packages to the hotel.
- Can I bring a photographer and take pictures?
- Maybe. Commercial photography is prohibited without express permission. Contact us if you have a request.

- Yes. The pool is available to guests and day pass holders only and is open 24 hours. We ask that you adhere to quiet hours at 10 PM.
- Can I bring my own drinks to the pool?
- Outside food and drinks are prohibited at the pool. However, we offer food and drink options brought right to your chair from the Pool Bar.
- Can I rent a bike?
- Yes! We offer a few bikes for our guests, just ask the concierge and they’ll also point you to the best places to ride.
- Does the hotel have a gym?
- No, but we offer recurring hikes with the concierge, as well as a number of outdoor adventure experiences that will get your blood pumping. Visit our Experiences page to learn more.
- Does the hotel have a spa?
- No, but we know of several great options in the area. We're also happy to arrange a massage for your at the hotel, book that here.
- What’s the souvenir situation? Is there a shop?
- Our individually curated retail shops are worth a visit on their own. We offer a host of signature souvenirs, thoughtfully sourced local goods, and one-of-a-kind finds, only available in-store.
- Is there a concierge that can help me plan my stay?
- Our concierge is happy to offer suggestions and help you fill your days with the best our hometown has to offer. Just stop by the concierge desk by the hotel entrance.
- When can I get room service?
- Give the Front Desk a call to help arrange room service, or place an order in person at one of our food and beverage outlets, and our team can deliver your order to your room.
- Can I smoke in my room?
- No. All of our rooms are non-smoking. If we find that you’ve tampered with any of our smoke detectors or lit up in your room, we’ll charge a fee.
- I’m really digging the bath products/comforter/uniforms/glasses you use. Are they for sale?
- Aww thanks. Yes! Many of the items in your room and around the hotel are available in our gift shop. Take a gander!
Reservations, Cancellations & Payments
- What payment methods do you accept?
- For payment, we accept American Express, Mastercard or Visa.
- Can I change or cancel my reservation?
- Plans change. If yours do, we just ask that you let us know by 6 PM local hotel time at least 14 days prior to your reservation to avoid a fee (equal to one night’s stay plus tax). During peak times and depending on your reservation, our policies may vary, so please refer to the policies specific to your reservation. These can be found during the booking process and in your reservation confirmation email.
- When will my credit card be charged? What’s your deposit policy?
- We will need to secure your booking with a credit or debit card up front. The cost of that deposit may vary and during peak times we may require the full cost of your reservation up front— but the remainder of your payment will be charged upon check-out unless stated otherwise. Please check the exact policies for your reservation while booking.
- How is my room guaranteed?
- Reservations are guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of booking. We’ll ask you to verify the payment details upon check-in.

- We charge a 15% service fee and 19% occupancy tax.

What to Know
On Treading Lightly
Todos Santos is a small town. Resources are limited and Todosanteños are not accustomed to the wild partying ways of Cabo San Lucas and it is important to consider the impact we leave, both culturally and on the environment. Please help us leave a light footprint when you visit.
We provide unlimited complimentary drinking water to guests, and recommend you bring a refillable drinking container for day trips and excursions outside the hotel. To limit our trash footprint, we encourage you to bring a reusable tote bag rather than being provided plastic bags while shopping in town. “No necesito una bolsa, gracias” is the way to let store owners know that you don’t need a shopping bag.
Lastly, the best thing you can do to tread lightly is to just be cool. The people here are generous, friendly and mellow. Let’s be the same. This isn’t a wild party town like Cabo, and we want to keep it that way.
On Zika
Understandably, some people are concerned about the prevalence of mosquitoes carrying the Zika virus. Cases of Zika have been reported, though the numbers are significantly less than in other areas. Because this is a desert rather than a jungle, mosquitoes are not as prevalent; however, we encourage all travelers concerned about the Zika to wear ample mosquito repellant, which can be easily purchased locally, and to pack lightweight long sleeve shirts and pants to limit exposure.
On Crime
Violence in Mexico has made the front pages over the past few years. Todos Santos does not have the problems that some other vacation destinations have experienced, and it’s a safe place to visit. That said, as with all travel, we encourage guests to be smart and not engage in any illicit activity while in Todos Santos.
On Being Prepared
There are many charitable organizations in Todos Santos that are in need of supplies. We encourage our guests to consider packing a few needed items in their bags when they visit and have provided a list of suggestions below. We’d be happy to coordinate getting your donation into the rights hands. You’ll benefit the community, and then you can fill the empty space in your bag with souvenirs from local artisans.
Other useful things to consider packing for yourself: yoga clothes, your prescriptions (our staff can help you navigate some common Mexican drug equivalents available at several pharmacies in town), sunscreen and comfortable shoes suitable for walking on dirt roads and sandy paths.
